Ingredients

Marinade

1/2 cup 125 mL Crisco® Vegetable Oil

1/3 cup 75 mL soy sauce

1 tsp 5 mL ground ginger

1/2 tsp 2 mL black pepper

2 garlic cloves, minced or 1 teaspoon (5 mL) dried garlic powder

1 1/2 lb 750 g boneless top round steak, 3/4" to 1" (2 cm to 2.5 cm) thick
Preparation
- Combine marinade ingredients in a shallow baking dish. Add meat, turning to coat all surfaces.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
- Prepare grill or heat broiler.
- Remove meat from marinade. Discard marinade. Grill or broil to desired doneness, turning once. Let stand for 8 to 10 minutes. Cut diagonally into very thin slices.
