Crisco® Oil Biscuits

Makes: 9 to 12 medium biscuits
Ingredients

2 cups 500 mL Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour

1 tbsp 15 mL baking powder

3/4 tsp 4 mL salt

2/3 cup 150 mL milk

1/3 cup 75 mL Crisco® Vegetable Oil
Preparation
- Heat oven to 425°F (220ºC).
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add milk and oil; stir just enough to hold dough together.
- Knead lightly (about 10 strokes) on a well-floured surface. Pat or roll dough about 1/2 inch (30 cm) thick (makes about a 7" (17.5 cm) circle) and cut with a floured 2" (5 cm) cutter.
- Place on an ungreased or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter or your favourite Smucker's® Jam.
